Today AMD has just announced it will host two separate events in October, As per the new tweet. The first event will cover Zen3 architecture and most likely AMD Ryzen 4000 series CPUs codenamed Vermeer. This event is scheduled for October 8th, 2020. The event name is ‘Next Generation Ryzen Desktop Processors’.
Another event is for AMD upcoming RDNA 2 based RX 6000 series graphics cards. On October 28th, AMD will showcase its Upcoming Radeon RX 6000 graphics cards As per the new tweet. These GPUs are based on RDNA2 architecture. The Upcoming AMD event is called as a “Next Generation Radeon Graphics“.
AMD teases that RDNA 2 is a “breakthrough gaming architecture” designed for both “PCs as well as consoles” and that “a new journey begins October 28“.
The upcoming AMD Radeon RX 6000 series will feature graphics cards based on a so–called Big Navi processor. The Big Navi graphics cards directly compete with the Nvidia’s RTX 30 series graphics cards and especially Nvidia’s Monster graphics card RTX 3080.
As per this video, I guess we’ll be introduced to Big Navi, which should be the new Radeon RX 6700 XT if AMD keeps the same nomenclature.
The announcement from AMD takes place in late October, so we expect the AMD new 6000 series graphics card availability in November.
